JustinOlson
I was modeling the 2JZGE intake flange yesterday so I can machine some custom velocity stacks and plenum. I'll post the solidworks file for those that are interested once I add the fuel rail mounting bosses. Justin

JustinOlson
I'm done playing. I need to order some material and make it happen. I'll refine the design a little, but this is basically it. Justin

johnc
Answers to your clearance question in Oatmilks' thread: 8 1/4" from the intake mounting flange to the brake booster. 11 1/16" from the intake manifold flange to the end of the bleed fittings on the side of the MC. The booster sticks out 4" from the firewall. The booster/MC assembly sticks out 11 1/4" from the firewall. That's for the install I did of the 2JZ-GTE in Larrow's car. JustinOlson
Thanks a lot John. That should give me the info I need to build this manifold before dropping the motor in. Regards, Justin
JustinOlson
I found out the intake flange I was modeling was actually from a veilside chinese knockoff. It will bolt up to the GTE head, so I'm just going to sit it on the shelf until I need it. I bought a set of Ross machining velocity stacks for it, so I'm going to use it at some point. Here's a picture of the actually intake flange I was modeling. Regards, Justin
240Z_478
What was the plan with this intake? were you going to add on to the runners that are there or replace them?
JustinOlson
Well, I have velocity stacks that I'm going to weld onto the existing runners. I'm going to cut them down to get rid of the o-ring groove and flange surface. The thing is, this wont bolt upto my 2JZGE head, so I have to wait until I get a GTE head to use this. I just took this picture showing how the ross machining 2.25" velocity stacks mate up: http://www.rossmachineracing.com/225vstack.html Regards, Justin
240Z_478
Very nice and then what add the plenum to that? Were wou going to use one of his plenums he has or have one made? I ask because there is a lot of things that are not going to be needed on the stock intake manifold that I have and could use something like that.
