24ounce
got a regular nissan 5spd (has always been smooth and just started to grind some on 2nd gear downshifts) and open r200 - i was thinking of using a regular 80w90/atf fluid mix in the trans and maybe the diff what do you guys think - i was thinking somewhere in the 50-75% 80w90 and 50-25% atf in the trans - i read a few post about mixing some auto trans fluid making for better fluid flow and smoother quicker shifts in the trans and probably an 75-80% 80w90 and 25-20% atf in the diff - dont know if i should put any atf in the diff??? Savage42
Personally, I'd just go with a synthetic and not worry about mixing anything. Synthetics are better than standard dinosaur juice, anyway. They also make the transmissions shift much easier when cold. Just my 37 cents. JMortensen
Run straight gear oil in the diff. If you want lighter in the trans, go 50/50 ATF and gear oil. I use SWEPCO 201, and that blend in the trans shifts like butter. I haven't seen a synthetic that compares as of yet.
