G Gress
I was just watching them on speed channel. The Fords were running what appeared to be -4 to -5 degrees camber, seemed like an awful lot for a purpose built race car. The Holdens looked more like -2 to -3, a little more realistic. Then the announcer comes on and says that the Fords have the better front suspension design, sure didn't look like it to me.
Guest fly yellow
i was watchin the same thing and noticed the same it sure does seem like that was wayyy too much camber needed to be a "better" design
ZROSSA
Holdens have a macpherson strut. Fords have a long-short arm double wishbone set up. Technically the ford should be better. Next year the are all going to run the ford set up. It getting to the stage where they might as well build up a space frame and just put on the body of choice. It would be a lot cheeper for them. Ray
Welcome to Nascar. Get a new sponsor just change the body and the motor the rest of the car is the same....
260DET
Yep, all in the name of parity, Ford have been getting upset because they mostly lose. On the big camber, it works for them, they all have power steering and braking does not suffer unduly. Because the racing is so close, suspension setup is crucial on those cars.
