How to get 5 lugnuts form 4?

It it easy to change a 280ZX from 4 to a 5 bolt hubs? I like the look of 5 bolt an I would like to get 5 lug/spoke wheels as well. Is it just a matter of inding an "unattended" ZX and sapping hubs? :D

Good luck and please post if you find better or more precise instruction, I would very much appreciate it.

You can use any 84-89 5lug 300ZX hubs, I usually use the ones with 'rotors bolting on the back' instead of the slip on front face turbo 88/89 hubs. That gets you 5x4.5 up front with ~25mm offset. Out back you 'prep' 5lug stub axles very carefully (I rec'd to have a machinist do this, I have all of mine done by a machinist and he has fixtures to get them all bang on.)to have a stout and balanced unit with perpendicular alignment of your new studs. I've got some prepped on the shelf ;) Sean here has the full front and rear setup on his ride and a number of other members have my prepped rear stubs on their rides.

I'm currently looking into this upgrade, and this is what I "think" I know now. 1. For the front a 5 lug hub from a 85-86 300zx will bolt right on in place of 280zx's(don't know which caliper to use yet 300zx or 280zx). For the rear I heard that the stub axel can be retaped for the 300zx 5-lug pattern. With a 1/4 inch spacer you should be able to run 300zxtt wheels. Good luck and please post if you find better or more precise instruction, I would very much appreciate it.

Hi Ross, I'm in the process of purchasing the 280zxt coilover kit from you(I have initialize contact thru e-mail), and would like to know, how much is your rear stub axel for the 5lug application. Also what else would be required? Do I need to purchase the rear caliper for the 300zx to match the 5lug rotor from said 300zx? I alread have a set of 1986(300zxt) front hub and rotor I would like to use. Thanks!
