01vincer6
I remember finding a post on here with pictures and measurments of different Cv's. What I need to know is will the Nissan Skyline DR30 cv's work in a 71 240z with the longnose r200 lsd from the 300zxt with the use of the Modernmotorsport companion flanges? Or are they different in length than the 280zxt cv's?

NZeder
If I remember correctly the DR30 and R31 turbo coupe CV axles are the same same 4 bolt type as used in the Z31 ie the same length = the same shafts.
01vincer6
They are actually 6 bolt.
01vincer6
The shafts measure 22 1/2" not compressed
NZeder
ok if the 6 bolt type I then I think they will be the same as the Z31 non turbo = too long unless you find another shaft (or have a custom one made). But there are some 4 bolt R31 (not sure about R30 when I think about it) around.

RB26powered74zcar
Still waiting on J. Soileau's response. The CV's I have that came off a R31 has the 4 bolt flange that mates to the wheel side flange. Mine measure 21" 20 3/4" measurement taken with shafts in the natural extended position, just lying on the work bench. Measured from flat surface that mates to companion flange, to the tip of the splined stub shaft that goes inside the diff. I did not try to measure them in the compressed position... 01vincer6
Just re measured mine 21 1/2 from the same points you measured, but they are 6 bolt so they should work with the modern 6 bolt 280zxt companion flanges.
