I think this is a bung alternator, but I am not sure. It has a new battery as it was having a hell of a time starting. The new battery stopped it from happening for a couple of days and now the orignal problem is back. Any thoughts would be great! CHeers! Careless Posted November 22, 2007 Share Posted November 22, 2007 sounds like a short to me. check to see that your main power wire is not chaffing on the firewall grommet that MAY be cut at the firewall opening. it should have made a mess of your fuses though. Also, and I can't stress this enough... check your battery or alternator ground.
