78280z
I am currently in the process of stripping down my 280z for rust elimination and painting. So, I will have to bite the bullet and take out all glass to make sure I don't miss anything. I was just wondering what is the proper way to store a windsheild and all other glass for that matter. Thanks in advance for any replies.
Cruez
I stored mine upright, like they are in the car.
78280z
Did you rest them against anything or on anything to prevent damage?
Cruez
Just put some cloth in between them.
GLSHLE
Set them on two wood blocks about 1 1/2 ft. apart. lean against the wall upright as possible but sure they won't fall over, back glass first, protect were it touchs the wall. it's tempered and pretty tough unless you bang a corner on the floor. put the windshield next with somthing soft between them. I'd cover them with plywood.
