nbesheer
I asked this question about my S130 and I was told do not use the washer. This was after I had driven my car with the washer and they came loose :| anyways the answers I got were S30 specific, so no washer. I'll look for the thread EDIT here you go http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=126697
EMWHYR0HEN
As Long as the gland nut is tight against the strut youl be fine. Ive never seen anybody use a washer there. I too had the gland nut come loose on me. Cleaned it up, and a little thread lock or silicone solved that problem.

djbit
Okay, I left the spacer washer off and one side was fine but the driver rear side still looks like if it had the washer spacer (but it doesn't). Should I take an 1/8th or so off the tube spacer that goes at the bottom of the strut? Or is it normal for this side to be slightly higher than the passenger rear due to the weight of the driver? Any ideas? I did measure both strut inserts and they are both exactly the same height and both included the tube spacer at the bottom.
