heavy85
The mounting bracket has separated from the tank on my radiator on one corner. It looks like it's just brazed on so can I just braze it back on just like I would copper water pipes? Thanks Cameron
jt1
It's soldered instead of brazed. A rad shop will just solder it back, which you can do yourself. Be careful with the heat so you don't melt solder elsewhere on the radiator and create a leak. It is sorta easy to melt the joint where the tank is soldered to the header. jt
heavy85
It's soldered instead of brazed. Right I knew that if I just thought about it. Brazing required a LOT higher heat ... like oxy/aceteline in my experience ... than solder. Anyway I soldered it back on so we'll see how it holds up.
