Guest BadKarmaCreepin
so i finally got the sucker in, but when i'm driving around, the pedal does feel a lot stiffer and takes less effort to stop the car, except for these random times when the pedal feels like nothing and then catches all of a sudden at the bottom. it seems to only do this when the revs are up there (4-5k), in gear, and i'm trying to brake. does this make sense? any other explanation? Mudge
Either a vacuum leak, or your brakes need bleeding, how is the fluid level?
Mudge
Oh yes, thats true, there are rebuild kids for those but I'm not sure how easy it would be to find one for an old Z.
Pop N Wood
Or faulty master cylinder. A little bit of rust, dirt or old rubber seals will require the occasional double pump to get the brakes to catch.
Guest BadKarmaCreepin
ok, let me try again after driving it some more.... i just replaced the booster. sometimes the pedal feels as if there's no resistance whatsoever (you know how the pedal feels with NO brake pressure), but stops the car just as well as when there's a lot of resistance. it's got nothing to do with rpms, as i thought the hose connected to the engine was the problem. how is the pedal supposed to feel?
