Ian! Hey dude... BTW, pretty embarrasing but he never said it was an LSD, I have a VERY good memory but somehow I confused one post with another. Once in awhile I supprise myself with my powers of the mystical jackass bonk.gif

I spent today chasing down carb issues, hopefully I am grasping another peice of the puzzle... With the cost of LSD units I may consider a C4 rear in the future, dunno smile.gif Thanks again Ian for all your knowlege.

Funny you brought this up, being the ever-vigilant ebay'er, I found these wheels a few days ago, asking that exact question.. here's what I got in reply:

Dear oddenfam@msn.com

The rims are 17x7.5 with an offset of +42. These wheels are a great setup for your car! If you have any other questions, please let me know. I will be happy to help you out with any product questions, or any other questions you might have.

Definitely FWD setup.. who could make spacers for these?

Soulfly - I can help you out big time here buddy. Those 17" Shu wheels are marketed by Tenzo Racing and made for them by a company called Denso.

They are a FWD offset as Mudge and IanZ pointed out and the exact offset is +42mm. So yes you will need a decent width spacer to bring them back to at least a +20mm.

So you will need longer (probably 60mm length)studs for the front only. For the rear these wheels will bolt up to your Z with no problems, although you may want to run a small spacer that way the front is not too badly staggered from the rear and you can run a meaty tire in the back as well to compensate.

These wheels are 7" wide as well and weigh about 18-19lbs each.

How do I know this stuff? Well let just say I recently bought wheels for my ZX over the past summer I studied 100s of wheels - my friends call me the Rim Doctor.

Good luck and I hope that helps. That eBay price is a amazingly low by the way, as these rims normally retails for around $175each

Regards - Yasin

Hmm... guys I'm really liking this deal. The more I look at these, the more I am inclined to put a bid down. $450 isn't bad for a new set of shineys! I was always partial to more subtle centerlines, but I could see how these would look good on a "modernized" Z. If anybody knows who could fabricate a set of spacers, I'd definitely trial fit them for the studs, etc. I have a set of 14x6(or 7) that are on my '73, they actually have set of acorn lock nuts on them that didn't have the chuck key to remove them.. that's another post down the road though. Something tells me I'll end up durring and drilling them out.
