dat240zg
Just like the title says, I'm considering applying for a job in Canby and am looking for any info that someone could add. Thanks. Bryan Dat240zg
Here comes trouble
I am about 75 miles south of Canby. Canby was a farming community in the Willamette Valley but now a bedroom community for Portland. Lot of Rain or overcast. No sale taxes. Homes are sky high in price. High mountains or ocean in about one hour drive. Air is somewhat clean when the grass seed farmers are not burning the fields. There are still places in Oregon where you can still piss off the front porch and lot of old almost rust free Datsuns
Pete84
I lived in McMinnville, 20-odd miles as the crow flies to the west, for a year and a half. Parents are from the area so I have been up there alot. Tons of pollen / allergens, so if that is an issue for you, beware. Don't know about home prices, but the area is green, not to humid - compared to the Texas-Louisiana border area that I've lived in before. Doens't get really hot during the summer, but the winters rain a good bit and are overcast alot. Just wondering, what is the job that you might be moving most of the way across the country for? Might want to visit the area first.

My wife and I have always loved the NW, and have been looking for the chance to move that way. We'll see.... Bryan Dat240zg
