frosty383
I am within days of starting my 260z with my 383 SBC and I have a quick question? is there something like a torque shaft i can install from the bolt holes on my heads to the frame rails that will limit the engine from torquing too much? Something on the market that you guys know about that will tie up this condition???
dustin280zx
weld a chain to the frame and bolt it to your head or block. I've seen some cars done like that and thats what I'm doing to mine.
sweetride2go
ditto, we used a chain and a turnbuckle to help minimize engine movement on a SBC chevy luv pickup... with the turnbuckle we didnt have to weld the chain to the frame, we just fabricated a mount that could be removed if we wanted, and the turnbuckle would take out the slack... gretchen/jason
I know jegs has a engine limiter bar that welds to the frame then bolts to the head and you cut it to fit . Im thinking of ordering one myself . Jason
m4xwellmurd3r
I know my dad's 66 Impala with a 283 got a recall when it was new for limiting chains because apparently without them it was breaking mounts.
