biohazard53188
I went to put in my turbo today but it seems the recirculating ball power steering is interfering with the turbo. My next step is to cut the piece of metal that holds the waste gate actuator enough to clear the power steering. Has anybody put a turbo in an s130 with the Recirculating Ball power steering? biohazard53188
Well i ended up cutting a bit and fit it in there. On top od that i had to bend the waste gate rod a little bit. Hopefully it doesn't affect anything
tec280zx
I think if you changed the length of the wastegate rod, you'll affect the amount of boost it makes. A picture I found.

Thats exactly what I did to mine. Now i just need to figure out how im going to fiddle with the intake. It seems the 1980 280zx does not have an egr valve on its intake. Im thinking Im just going to try to move my parts over to an n42 intake
RJ280ZX
I did the same thing to mine 6 years ago when I did the turbo swap in my 79. Haven't had a problem. Now I have a bigger turbo I want to put in, so I think I am going to have to do a rack/pinion conversion.
