janaka
I was lucky enough to get a steal on a Fibreglass cowl hood for my Z and an even better steal to have it painted by a friend for an old block I had sitting around. The hood doesn't have the hood latch at the back like the stock steel hood so I will have to use hood pins to hold it down (has stock hinge at the front). Can all those with hoods using hood pins please post pictures of the hood closed and open so I can see the position of the pins on the hood and how they are mounted in the engine bay. Thank you (and happy Easter to those who celebrate) Jason
z-ya
This is where I put them. Have had it going over 120MPH without any problems: See my sig photo for what it looks like with hood on.
Datsun350Z
I just got Mr. Gasket locking hood pins for my trunk. Not installed yet, but they look sturdy enough.
SHO-Z
Use Dunz aircraft fasteners they look better and will not scratch the paint.
