pparaska
That's the all-white SE? White wheels too? Pretty rare these days I think. If so, that's a Viscous R200, like James Thagard has cobbled into an early Z and put different CV shaft parts (AMC?) together to work instead of the clutch R200 and 280ZXT CV shafts. Guest scca
yep its all white - white mags totally original- motor tired, ..no crash damage.. but NO lsd... well if it is its totally worn out, i can turn the rside cv shaft and the left is on the ground still... PaulR
The data I have says that the LSD was added to the turbos after build date 4/1987. Maybe that one has an earlier build date? Does it have a finned cover? (the LSD units do) Paul
Guest Anonymous
LSD after 4/87 only. Viscous lsd on the SS models(pearl white paint, white wheels, white door handles, recaro seats, black interior, non-adjustable shocks). You can spin 1 wheel with the viscous by hand because it has no clutches - it'll just have resistance to spinning because you're moving the fan plates through the viscous fluid. Check for the finned rear cover. If you can see through the 1/2 shaft holes of the diff, it's viscous. If you can't see through the diff then it's a clutch lsd. I'm not sure if you can see through open diffs or not. ------------------ Morgan http://z31.com/~morgan/s30 http://carfiche.com
