Guest wabelser
I have a 83 280ZX that I am restoring and when ever I connect the battery my tail lights come on. I'm thinking it's a short somewhere, not sure where to look. Any advice?

Guest JimmyCrackCorn
I have the same issue, did you ever find a solutions to the problem? Also where is the "brake peddle switch"?
Guest wabelser
Yes I found my solution. It was the brake peddle switch. It is a tab that is located at the top of the brake peddle. It has a rubber grommet that depresses the switch, i had to improvise a new one the rubber piece does not come with the kit.
itsaprothing
yeah, it's an amber colored plastic thingy that you'll usually find pieces of on the floor if you have this problem. the local z specialists actually put a nut in there for me instead of another rubber or plastic piece so it won't break again
CerebralSponge
I have something like that, except my brake lights and turn signals never come on, and the running tail lights are always on (whenever the battery is connected). I haven't gotten to mess with it so don't hate if it's something easy (at the beach now so I can't), I'm just asking if anybody knows if the same thing happens with the switch to turn on your lights (that would effect tail lights). Thanks in advance. When I figure it out I'll post.
