Sparky
My girlfriend and I are going on a post graduation celebration cruise to Alaska...probably the most relaxing thing we can do after four years of craziness. We will be stopping in Ketchikan, Juneau, Skagway and then Victoria BC. my query today, is what do the experienced cruisers and alaskinites recommend? Naturally this is a cruise and our port times in the above cities are limited...I figure that most of the time we will be sitting on deck and relaxing. but, for that limited time we do have, I would like to do the least touristy things as possible. Eventually I will post a question or two about something thats Z car related, unfortunately the way things have been going lately I've had no time to work on my 240 since december...thanks for putting up with me! Globerunner513
I haven't been to Alaska but I really would like to at some point. Good choice! I love Victoria. Its a great little city, although much of it is tailored to the tourists. The roads that go around the island can give some really great views too (although im sure you'll be having plenty of those). If you guys end up having some time in the NW I'm sure myself or some of the other local Z guys would be happy to show ya around. So much to offer around here. BobbyZ
Hey, me and my wife took a graduation Alaska trip too! We went the long way though through Canada on the Alaska highway. It was an amazing trip, I saw some of the most beautiful scenery I have every seen. You guys will have a great time. Sometimes when you are stopping in a port on one of these cruises you can find places that will take you on sight seeing flights over the glaciers and such. My mother in law did this on her Alaska cruise and the pictures were amazing. The glaciers are beautiful, there are some glaciers that you can kayak up to as well. Beautiful!!!
