I have an 84 300zxt borg warner t5 in the z right now, and I'm wondering if the rear seal and bearing are the same as the ones for the Mustang T5 trannies? i heard that the short throw shifter kit fits just fine. Mike C Posted May 31, 2008 Share Posted May 31, 2008 Not sure on the Z31 trans, but the L6 trans uses a unique rear seal. It also has it's own seal diameter but the spline count is the same as a Mopar. I put a new L6 yoke on my driveshaft, but another option would be to turn down the mopar yoke to the Nissan seal diameter.
