Guest Anonymous
Being new to Z-cars, I have a few questions. Before I decide on my engine, I would like to build up the rest of the car (brakes, suspension, and the back end of the drivetrain). I've been looking at the Quaife LSD units. Is there anypoint in swapping up to an R200, or is the Quaife R180 more than adequate. What else is a weak point in the backend? Should I just go with one of the live axle swaps if I want to not only make decent hp, but really hammer it alot? Thanks.
DavyZ
You know, if you are going to the expense of a Quaife (probably worth the money too!), an R200 upgrade might be a good idea--simple enough to do. IMO Davy
Mikelly
If you haven't found a donor car yet, I'd recommend finding one with the requisit R200 already in it. This also gives you the benefit of larger and stronger stub axles. The R200 is a much heavier duty unit, as are the axles & Half shafts that work with it.
