zmainiac Posted July 7, 2008 Share Posted July 7, 2008 I am finnally getting the car tuned this week. I have a couple of questions for what to tune my setup to. Quick recap: vg34, wiseco forged pistons, 9.5 to 1 comp, jim wolf s2 cams and valve springs, t3-t4 60 trim turbo, Haltech ek6 standalone, 580cc injectors, tt fuelpump. adjustable fpr, intercooled, engloid plenum. stock head gaskets. I was trying to get some feedback on what to set my boost to and what not. I was thinking 18psi on 93. 26 on VP C-14(115 octane). Engine can handle revving to 7800 but I was thinking 7k, I gapped my plugs at .28. How does everything sound? It will be tuned on the street not the dyno. Careless Posted July 7, 2008 Share Posted July 7, 2008 I think everything will sound like a gorilla yelling down a bass-tube in a tunnel that cuts through a mountain. start with a lower psi though. no need to shoot straight for 18, you don't want to find out that on a 3.4 litre with 20 pounds being pumped in that your injectors suddenly give up.
