OriginalZ
I have had other 240's, and I swaer I thought the 2 top bulbs on the rear light cluster were the brake lights, and the bottom was the turn signal. What I have are the 2 top and bottom outside bulbs( but not the one above the reverse) lighting up when the brakes are applied, and turn signals applied. I have rung the wires out, and all seem intact and in good shape. ALso when the hazard lights are turned on, the brake lights cancel out and the lights flash whether the brakes are applied or not, I thought if you pushed the brakes with the hazards on, you will still get a brake light on one of the bulbs. I dont think the bulb holders have been swapped around, because they will not reach if I try to move them around. Any ideas?
dhp123166
I guess the solution falls into one of three categories; the right way, the wrong way, or the easy way. I have had similiar issues with lighting at the rear through no fault of the wiring. I "customized" my lights, in other words I ended up messing up a perfectly functional system. Anyway I ended up rewiring at the bulbs and it is messing looking but it works. I guess that would qualify for the easy way...
