janaka
Well my swap is done (2000 LS1/T56 into '76 280Z) and the brake booster and everything is hooked up on the new motor. Nothing on the brakes themselves were touched during the swap that I can think of. Now when the car runs its like I have no assisstanace with the brakes. I have to get on them HARD to get the car to stop. Peddle pressure is stiff, the car will stop/slow ok and all but it was a tad hair raising the first few times till I got used to it. Has anyone with an LSx swap (or any swap I guesss) experienced this or know what the cause may be? I'd appreciate any input. Thanks jay
woldson
What vacumme pressure are you pulling at the vacumme line to the booster?
janaka
What vacumme pressure are you pulling at the vacumme line to the booster? I honestly haven't tested it with a guage but there is tons of vaccumm. I pulled a vac line and it had enough suction to rival a cheap whore on a friday night. I will be going by the shop tonight and I will try to get a reading on a guage. Where should it be reading?
EMWHYR0HEN
The check valve may have been installed the wrong way. Iv'e done it before. Doh!

I do not know what the reading should be. What I do know, is that I believe you in the brake system being stagnate during your swap. The engine runs yet no support? Emwhy may be on to something, that or your canisters diaphragm may be shot.
