Guest zfan Posted October 9, 2001 Share Posted October 9, 2001 Hey Guys Im stumped! Put the r200 in my 71 Z and I've come across a major problem! I swapped lower mount and mustache bar from a 78. All cool until I go to front diff mount, I used stock one off r180 and it appears that it sits to far back. I've got r200 in almost all the way but the frount mount is nowhere near to lining up to original position. Whats up what did I do wrong? I looked in archives and found nothing re: front mount swap, do I need another mount/bracket? Anyone who could shed some light on the subject would be greatly appreciated! Mike C Posted October 9, 2001 Share Posted October 9, 2001 70 and 71 mounts the diff in a different location from the 72-73 240s. You need the front mount from a 72 and up car.
