Project_240 Posted July 23, 2008 Share Posted July 23, 2008 Not that i am having any problems.. and not sure if there is anything that can be done about it being the intake and exhaust are on the same side.. but w/ the charge pipe off the turbo and the intake pipe off the intercooler being so close together and almost touching in some applications.. does the heat off the hot pipe transfer to the cold pipe at all? borrowd pic: Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I havent noticed any issues with it. if you where really concerned you could always wrap your cold pipe in insulation to keep heat away from it. For one it actually has a decent sized intercooler. the starion was great for the stock turbo but just wasnt going to cut it with the big Holset. I do still need to do some ducting to get it to work more efficently but I think i have enough on my plate right now. Ya know with repainting my whole car and all lol. Here is my photobucket url. WizardBlack Posted July 25, 2008 Share Posted July 25, 2008 I used to run a turbo speed shop. You won't have any issues. Probably get more heat from the radiator than the "hot pipe". Even if you are pushing a turbo almost to the point of accelerating it's wear characteristics (as in, it'll go bad in 10k miles), you'll probably see maybe 75~125 degrees difference between the compressor discharge temp and the intercooled temp.
