(:icon45:zombie moans and growls:icon45:) I must say, thank you search function! this totally helped me solve my problem of getting my alpine head unit in my maxima! the entire wiring / color code list above was the exact same too.... this is kind of a big deal, I've NEVER installed a radio before, much less, spliced one in myself:shock:.. going for 10+ months with no radio makes a guy go crazy! thank you hybrid z! :mrgreen: Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Supamandatsun Posted April 9, 2010 Share Posted April 9, 2010 ok, i need halp, have a 79zx, have the manuals and the wiring diagram is confusing; can't even find the speaker portion. I have a sony $70 head unit from 2006 that i want to bring over into my zx. It's good enough for me. I don't want subs. Should i replace all 4 speakers? Also what do you suggest for speakers? I read that some have just plugged in a head unit without any wiring modification yet others say it is necessary to mod/replace the old system, or your head unit will fry.
