JWT Wiring

I currently have the Z31 ecu/MAF setup following Afshin's write up on my 280zxt. I recently purchased JWT's 450hp setup, and my question is do I have to convert my wiring back to the stock setup (minus the FPR since the wiring is the same as JWT). Is Afshin's Z31 wiring setup compatible with JWT's ecu? In the write up, you were required to change the coil wiring setup, but JWT's instructions make no mention of this. Anyone who is running the JWT setup, I'd appreciate any feedback if the installation was pretty much plug and play, and what you did regarding wiring. Thanks in advance.

I do believe the JWT setup is plug and play for the original setup. Did you buy it for the 280zx or 300zx?

 

If I had to guess, you need the 300zx version since you have done the wiring mods to run that ECCS.

 

But you should just contact JWT and see what they say,

The guy I got it from had bought it for an 84 ZXT, which makes me believe I can use it as is. Thanks for the input, I'll give JWT a call this Friday to confirm!

I run the jwt ecu on a 72 240,pretty much plug and play.I did not have to mess with coil wiring at all.

i run the jwt set up . you will have to swap the maf sensor for the cobra, and other than that, u will need the z31 chopper wheel inside your distributor if you car ran before the jwt ecu swap , you are good to go.
