Challenger
Actually I got that from Daves website archive (member here). Thanks for the link, that really did help, wish I had it earlier... Have you done this swap? Ive got my pads and everything together and Im not sure if I have it together right. The outside brake pad has 3 bumps on the metal side. One in the middle, one on the left, and one on the right with the brake squealer tab. For the outside two the claw of the caliper line up right over the top of these. Is this correct? Went ahead and mounted them to see if they fit and it drags alot. Is this normal or should I check for something?
Challenger
Is that how the brake cable should go??
280Z-75
That looks like it's going to rub against your swaybar/bushings. I can check mine out tomorrow, but if you want a crack at it tonight, maybe these might help: http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=123039&highlight=e-brake+rear+disc http://www2.zhome.com:81/ZCMnL/tech/Calipers/zbrakeupgrade.htm
Challenger
Thanks, but thats the 240sx conversion. Looks like it sits closer to the top then the 280zx's.

Challenger
Were you ever able to get pictures?
KenshinX
Are those calipers new/ remanufactured? I used some junkyard calipers and they locked up on me a while back trust me its not fun they got so hot that my rotors were red like a stove top. Make sure those pistons move freely. Challenger
Yeah they are rebuild from shucks everything moves nicely. Right now Im trying to find out what brake lines Ill be needing for this. Ive heard the suzuki samari lines work...
Challenger
Any advice on the brake lines? Im trying to get this bolted up this week. 280z-75 could you get those pictures for me? Thanks Alright, does anyone know if the stock ZX brake lines would work? They would have the correct banjo fitting on one end but would the other end fit onto the stock s30 hard brake lines? KenshinX
Not sure if you finished up your setup yet but the stock lines work fine and I would get stainless steel or braided lines.
DarkToonami
Yup, you got that right. m1ghtymaxXx
I realize this is an old thread, but I just started a thread trying to see if the 83 280zx calipers I have on hand could be any use for a rear disk conversion (http://forums.hybridz.org/topic/111660-s30-rear-disk-conversion-using-82-83-calipers-possible/) I still haven't found an answer, but did you end up sticking with the 83 ZX calipers? If so I'm very interested to know what brackets and rotors makes this work!
73z85.0
Bumping it back up also years later. I've been reading on old threads all day. I can't seem that find that caliper bracket anywhere, I'm starting to feel like the 180$ brackets on ebay are my only option.
