TABrinn
I'm looking for hatch struts for my '71 240Z and can't seem to find any. Do the other years 260Z or 280Z/ZX fit without mods? If you need to modify them, how so?

texis30O
did you find the struts? I need to replace mine for my '70 240Z....
TABrinn
Black Dragon does not have them for any 240Z! MatMan: if you have the single strut type for the early 240Z, they can fetch a pretty penny. MSA has them (1) for $251 and change. A little expensive in my book for a simple gas strut! The one I mentioned earlier does the job for around $25. After more investigation it looks like the early 240's had only one strut that's about twice as stiff as the dual struts. I thought mine was stuck but just wasn't pushing hard enough on it. Sand, primer, paint, install, and it's good as new. Texas300: if you want to keep it original www.lstechnologies.ca rebuilds them and come highly reccomended by the guys on classiczcars forum. If you just want something that works use the AC Delco one I mentioned earlier. FYI: the dual struts can be used but you have to drill mounting holes in the other side and use t-nuts on the inside. Straight6Z
Car Stuff.com has them for only $14 http://www.car-stuff.com/store/?N=11381+4294965776+1684+11921+9321

Your on the right track though. I thought I needed a replacement for a '71. On the '71, there is only one strut that is quite a bit stronger than the two that are used on later models.
