Zanity
so i'm driving my 240z around and suddenly i hear this scraping noise. pull off the road find out the starter is trying to start the car even when its started and running. thank god i have a battery kill switch! figured it was some sort of short circuit after it still tried to start the car when the keys aren't even in it. so to attempt a quick fix to get it home i pulled all fuses except common and stop light. worked and got it home. now i need to know, what the fudge. can anyone recommend someone good with car wiring? i can't do it to save my life. MoNkEyT88
So, that happened to me with my 280z, and it turned out that a connection under the steering column, near the ignition was unplugged. When I plugged it back in, it stopped doing that. Check around under the column, and see what you come up with.

Zanity
so i think i fixed it. two cables that weren't supposed to be touching were touching on the starter. i guess i'll just have to wait and see on my next drive.
