:evil:Where should I start ? Im really frustrated

The setup is l28et stock ms 2 2.86 code

These are the things I have done:

-using another members msq identical except hes got a wideband and i got a stock o2 changed that under ego settings

-checked board turns out it was built for vr type changed jumpers to hall type and did the diyautone article jumpers (thanks Dave for pointing that one)

-checked compression

-checked cam timing crank timing

-got fuel before cranking at 36 psi

-got a hot spark

-I had map sensor fitted into little plenum with bunch of other vaccuum fittings turns out wasnt getting vacuum when cranking so removed it and now its getting vacuum and its into the intake. The little plenum has been removed now and everything is plugged.

-so this is what happens crank crank and i check the plugs they are wet

to a point where now my oil reaks of gas im going to have to drain it and put some new oil (is too much gas not good for the engine like physically? for the rings?)

#1 piston are gued up with black carbon fuel

how i can clean the engine cylinders ?

this is a fresh rebuilt new pistons rings bearings gaskets arp studs

i did manage once to get the car running but it was just once and it didnt idle im stumped and it this point i could use some help guys if anyone is within 4 hours driving I wouldnt mind paying someone to get the car running running i could come to you or arrange transportation

im not on the laptop so my msq is not here but i can load it up if someone could review it.

doesnt catch at all and if it does its just a sputter if i give it some gas while trying to start it will completly slow down cranking like a stall

ill try that

i was thinking they were the pots r52 ?

Have you checked the timing with a light? If it is getting too much fuel then start to cut down cranking enrichments and required fuel settings until it starts. This is also balanced with cracking the throttlebody open enough that you get the air needed to idle.

What size injectors did the other person msq file use? What size are your injectors? I used an msq once and forgot about that, the other guy was using 950cc injectors and I was using 450cc injectors. Needless to say I couldn't get it running until I figured that out. If you are uncertain then I would just re-calculate the required fuel by entering the size of your injectors.

he is using the stock injectors and I am too

i turned down the cranking percentage

i changed trigger to calculated

and predictor algorithim to 1st high rmp 2nd low rpm

i got to start run a bit with the trottle on though i got puff of smoke coming from tail pipe and inlet turbo i turned it off

moby i do have a timing light but i cant seem to comprehend how to set the trigger offset properly from what i understood i put the timing light on number one mark the crank pulley at tdc and try to get the light to flash right on the mark? by lowering/increasing trigger offset this was hard cause the light wouldnt flash all the time

moby so open the air idle screw so its cracked open a bit? so in megatune should i set new opening as closed or leave it as it is ?

I have an idea. Do you have another running car? Take the timing light to that car. Clip onto the #1 plug wire. Shine the light at the timing pulley towards the graduated marker and have someone start the car. Verify that the light works. This will also allow you to see what you are looking for on your Z.

Sounds like you are getting closer.

I think they've got some good ideas for you, but just to answer your side question:

Too much fuel is sometimes referred to as "washing the cylinders". Overly excessive rich condition will literally rinse all the oil off of the cylinders and make it tough to get a good ring/cylinder wear. If you wash the cylinders a lot when trying to break a motor in you won't get a good seal. Certain ring materials (usually used in "built" motors) are more sensitive to this. To some degree you can correct the rich condition (and change the oil of course) and get the sealing back, but hardened rings have a chance to never come back. You have to re-hone the cylinders and replace the rings.

exactly wizard thats exactly what i was worried about tomorrow i will drain the oil which now has the viscosity of water than im going to verify the timing with my bros 240z

Thanks guys ill keep you updated
