useful parts from a 86 300zxt?

Recommended Posts

Hello;I just finish looking at a 86zxt parts car along the way from taking the kids to school. It has everything except for the motor, trans, ecu. What parts can be used for my 77 280z? BTW the diff. and rear suspension are still there. thanks.

The differential and the rear axles could both potentially be used, but it would require some work. The diff *should* be an LSD, but I may be mistaken in that. Generally speaking, I eyeball any 70s-80s RWD Nissan "just in case" to see if someone installed an LSD along the way.

Not much else, though. Not directly, anyhow.

The diff in an 86 na or turbo were all 3.54 R200's, so it will fit just fine, though there is no difference to your 77's diff except its newer. There are no major items that are easily transferable. If your not too tall, the seats will fit (mods req).

definitely worth it if it is a CLSD, check it out. A finned rear cover is a sure bet; it should look like the cylinder head of a lawnmower engine.
thanks daeron,I`ll be looking for those fins on the diff cover when i go check it out .thanks.
