JSM
I'm trying to get an estimate on the shipping cost. Any ideas, convential or not, that would be accurate without buying a heavy duty scale? Should I tool down to my local Shipping company (Estes, Yellow, etc.) and just ask to use their scale?
grumpyvette
if youve got a truck stop with a scale, close locally, weight your truck empty, then weight it with the engine in the bed, subtract the differance youll be close and most truck stops will weight the car for free or at most a couple bucks will this help http://www.team.net/sol/tech/engine.html http://www.jeepgod.net/enginewts.html
Kennysgreen280zt
you could check local scrap metal places, as they will have a scale as well.

cygnusx1
I just found out that we have an electric pallet lifter/tote with a built in scale good for 5000lbs! Not that it will help you right now. Sorry.
