My Alternator Went Out And The Car Would Not Start. Replaced Alternator And Bulbs And They Blew Up Again! Any Help Please? Everything Has Been Running Fine Up Until Now. jasper Posted November 13, 2008 Share Posted November 13, 2008 Check for high voltage output , possibly caused by a bad voltage regulator. norm... approx 12-14 volts. over 14.3.......BAD . check at all rpm ranges and loads on system. nelson rodriguez Posted November 13, 2008 Author Share Posted November 13, 2008 yeah i can check for spark. i had trouble with the pick up coil a few months back. that would keep it from starting. my volt meter stays on/active when the car is off thou. it does not go back all the way unless i remove that fuse link? next to the battery. is that normal?
