csz
I have run across a first series z with a production date of 9/70. It is a complete running z with the typical southern rust: -floors are shot -rust around fuel fill door -rusted inner fender at the battery box -surface rust on the roof -there is no rust above the tail lights under the hatch -doors and the quaters are solid White with black interior. All the glass is good. And the bumpers are fairly straight but will need to be restored. It will need a complete restore ground up. Is it an early enough production date to justify the rust repair? I can buy it for less than 1500 bucks. Any thoughts will be appreciated. Just to cover my a__ it will be parked next to my small block powered 77 z. rturbo 930
I'd say if the frame rails, subframe and rocker are reasonably good, it would be worth restoring to me, granted I'm from the east coast. It doesn't sound too bad, honestly.
