Axel Kain
...you have the bolt all the way out? I think it has a divet in the shaft so it only goes one way, that thru bolt will hold it on the shaft. if the bolt is out, hit it harder/seperate the split! Careless
I was thinking that... but I really don't want to break that piece of the steering column. if it does break. I am in deep doo-doo. I got a cold steel chisel that has a widened wedge that I can try when I get back to the house. I did remove the bolt, I saw that it has a divet along the splines so the bolt must be completely removed... well I saw that on a picture of one on ebay. LOL. Thanks, I'll give'r a go tomorrow night
Racinjitter
I have never been able to remove the I-shaft from the column. I ended up giving up on all of them before I they came free. I even used an acetylene torch to cherry it up. Maybe us northerners have too much rust buildup?
Careless
hey it's definately in there. i'll give her a pop tomorrow. I don't want to bend the bolt-clamp too much... i REALLY don't want to remove the steering column if it *bleeps* up. LOL stupid north! why does it have to be so close to the north pole! *shakes fist*
