JSM
Good, bad, should be okay? I'm hoping because it is wrapped in sulifane that it will be noted as crated? Thanks!

zguy36
Not sure that rope is really strong, but shouldn't need to be tested anyway. Looks okay to me!
JSM
Rope was mainly so I can move it around at an angle w/ my dolly and if for some reason if the shipping truck hit a bump and it shifted some. Rope has held very well moving it around the garage.
auxilary
i would've used strap downs all the way through the crate instead of rope
240hoke
Yea put at least one strap on it, even a cheap pull down ratchet strap around it. I usually crate stuff when I ship it, but that looks like it should be fine.

JSM
Oh, you guys are talking the ratcheting type. I was thinking you were all talking true pallet straps.
Sparks280zt
Yea needs a few straps for sure.
Rustyfriend
I would agree that with a few simple straps, that should be fine. It looks a lot better than how I transported the turbo motor i picked up....imagine one of those standing up as it would in the engine compartment, sitting on slick plywood, only held in place with a single strap...not fun
Trevor
Oh, you guys are talking the ratcheting type. I was thinking you were all talking true pallet straps. Harbor Freight has the real thing: http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/ctaf/displayitem.taf?Itemnumber=47288 http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/ctaf/displayitem.taf?Itemnumber=47289
JSM
I have to fully wrap it in wood per the shipping company. The weight sits at 333Lbs the weigh it sits. I estimated 360 w/ the additional wood. The first quote I got using ESTES was 447.90 + 16.5 % fuel surcharge! I called Diversified Transportaion Services who gets better deals for people and it came in at $350.00! It even ends up using the same company I got the first quote from. This info was passed on to me from a Hybridz member. The saving is substantial. www.dtsone.com
