z32 dash in 77 280z fitment

well, im looking for a dash alternative for my z because it's all cracked to hell like most dashes are. anyways, i've noticed a few people have made, i think, s13 dashes fit, what about the 1990-96 300zx dashes? i only ask because i can get the dash for very cheap. and im going to re-wire the car, so my old dash has to come out anyways. if not the s13,aluminum, or original dash, has anyone made another dash work without too much effort?

Do a search for aluminum dashes ...there are a number of good threads with pics.

 

As for the Z32 dash...I think its been done?? If you can get it cheap...do so. Measure it up and test fit it. If it doesnt work you can sell it for a profit. Dont forget the console.

thank you for the input, but i should have made it clear that i want to stay away from the aluminum dash. but thanks for the advice on the console, i'll see if i can grab it too!

I mgonna try to do a hybrid of the S30 and S13 dash . Top is the Z one and the center console will be the S13 one ill post pictures when it will be underway .

I had the same idea about putting a Camaro dash in my 280Z, but it was about an inch too wide. The only thing you can do is either measure very accurately or get the candidate dash and trial fit it. Lots of work either way.
