BAlford
We are looking for information conserning a post made by Long Rod 327 Z it was "posted March 06, 2002 04:16 PM". The comment "before I put the 3.23 in there for some driveability and eat up some LS-1 cars!!!" caught my attention. Would you or anyone who may have information about a rear end ratio of 3.23 to 1. We are looking for a ratio that would lower our engine RPM for highway driving. After running a search for "3.23" we found that he may have been talking about someother car having that ratio. Does any one know of a place to buy a rear end or ring and pinion for our Z that is in the 3.08 to 3.54?
tdab
Balford, Check with Ross C. Here: http://www.modern-motorsports.com/parts.htm This is a 3.36 R-200 Ring and pinion gear. It would drop your highway RPM's considerably. t
fl327
3.54 is the most common r200 in 75-78 cars. 3.36 is pretty rare. tall tires and a 3.54 is pretty cool for a 1 to 1 final ratio car.
BAlford
Thanks for the information. I did the math on the speed at 3000 RPM and 3.36 ratio would only increase my speed 3 or 4 MPH. I guess I will just get another 3.54.
