Help! - Need to learn

Recommended Posts

Hi,

Well I've been hit by the Z car bug since the first time I saw one three months ago. I've always wanted to restore a car and have always had my eye on a 60's model mustang up until now.

Well I've ordered a couple of repair manuals as well as Frank Honsowetz's books. In the meantime I was wondering if there was any HybridZ members around the 757, Virginia area that needed an extra hand with their Z or wouldn't mind me watching as they rebuilt an engine or whatever actually. I just need something to curve my new found addiction while I continue to do more research.

I want to jump into this but I want to go about it the right way so therefore Im trying to do my part and learn as much as I can before I spend a lot of money on a car that I know nothing about.

Thanks! And I don't mind driving a ways if it's for the chance to learn something on Z's.

-Glenn

I guess I should mention that I'm vice-prez of the TZCCVA club. Come join us next Monday evening for our monthly meeting at Frankie's Ribs off Providence Road in VA Beach. Starts at 7 for conversation and good food, then the meeting goes until about 9:00 or so. We're always looking for new members and you don't have to own a Z either.

I am in a similar boat as the OP, wanting to restore a Z, and I have been lurking around here for a bit reading stuff.

Having a group or club in Phoenix to talk to would be cool if anyone knows of one. It always seems easier to learn when you can see it for real.

You might look up AZZCC http://www.geocities.com/MotorCity/7808/

or any number of other AZ clubs. there's a ton.
