1FASTKINGCAB Posted August 29, 2002 Share Posted August 29, 2002 The trans I have for my '95 Nissan pickup is a FS5R30A I have seen the same tranny listed as also being the same 5-speed used in the R33 Skyline GT-S (RWD). Is it the same tranny? I would think the R33's 5-speed would have better gearing than my ruck trans. would it be as simple as swaping the front 1/2 of the skyline's (RB20?) trans case with the truck (VG30) case, or is there more to it than that? Mike C Posted August 29, 2002 Share Posted August 29, 2002 In talking about the L series T5 vs. the V series T5, consensus was that the input shaft is a different length as well.
