24OZ
I'm having my turbo manifold ceramic coated, it has an old skool HKS external wastegate attached to it. Should I also get the wastegate ceramic coated? I'd rather not if it's not really required as I've just rebuilt it and fitted new diaphragm and sealed it all up. Just wanted to hear your opinions. I only thought of this after I restored the wastegate. Thanks.
Almighty Wez
I do ceramic coating in my shop and you don't have to coat the WG but it does help to keep as much heat inside the exhaust at possible. But if you already put it back together, its not going to hurt anything if you don't coat it too.
S30TRBO
George, I wouldn't worry about the wastegate.
