Guest Anonymous
Im new to the site and would like to know if anyone knows which q45 diff are positraction or lsd. I found a 91 diff with half shafts reasonable. Also has anyone done the swap in a early 260? Does the diff mount up with out mods as I figure the shafts will need modifying. Appreciate any help on this. gonez
Owen
They are LSD, VLSD to be precise. Whether the differential action is 1-way, 1.5 or 2-way, I don't know. It is not a bolt on affair. See http://www.v8zcar.com/s30z/r230.htm to http://www.v8zcar.com/s30z/r230-4.htm You need, new mustache bar drilled for the R230, new axles, new adapters for the axles, new driveshaft, new diff. mount, new rear brace sold by someone here. Tim240Z was supposedly making a kit for this, do a search. Owen
johnc
None have Positraction. Positraction is a brand name for a General Motors clutch pack limited slip differential (LSD).
