gdv350ss
My 21 year old daughter moved from PA to Austin, TX about a month ago. She has a 2003 VW Jetta which is "making a funny noise" when she's driving. Being new to the area she doesn't have any idea where go for service. She's trying to avoid the VW dealership because money is extremely tight for her right now. Can anyone recommend a reasonably priced - honest auto repair facility in the north central Austin TX area where she could take her car? Your recommendations are greatly appreciated! Thanks! . chris556452
Theres Austin vee-dub, my girlfriend used to take her beetle there for service. They're honest and relatively low priced, it's not a dealership but they specialize in VW. www.austinveedub.com Did she move here for school by chance? -Chris
fp280z
Automotive Specialist in Round Rock. A good autocross friend of mine is the service manager and I don't take my cars anywhere else. Ask for Dan. http://www.jcautospec.com/ -Rick
zeeboost
I work at the Mac Haik Ford dealership up in Round Rock/Georgetown - I wouldn't mind taking a look at it. I'll be honest, I don't have much experience with VWs, but noises are usually generic

ShaggyZ
Thanks for your prompt responses! Chris, she took a job with a pre-K school program. What happened to "she's 21 years old?" Now you're telling us she's 4?! She shouldn't be driving anything!
