Mike Rowe
Below is a photo of the clutch slave cylinder pipework off my R32 GTR halfcut. You will see at the union that there is a large loop of pipework that I can only imagine is an expansion loop of some kind?? Any one know why this is there and have any of you used this setup in your Z? thanks
cygnusx1
What is the junction block for? I don't think expansion is the issue...maybe cooling?
Evan Purple240zt
Comes stock on the 240sx as well. Most people like me leave it off, because it makes bleeding the clutch a pain in the ass. However, if it is an expansion loop I would use it. My clutch pedal varies with engine bay heat sometimes. Evan
amorfin
The Z32 uses that too. Makes bleeding the clutch double the work. I know many people just get rid of it.
S15 200sx owner
Mike, It could be there as a type of dampner, to reduce vibrations transmiting up through the clutch hydralics to the cutch pedal, some manufactuers use a little cylindrical piece to do it instead. If this is what it is for just leave it off. Cheers, Clint.
Mike Rowe
thanks Clint, yes expansion loops are generally for that. Anyway I will just leave it off like all suggest. Hows sunny Hawkes Bay? regards
