icapture
I am installing an SR20 into my 75 280Z and I have some Q's regarding fuel delivery. First would be the stock fuel pump. The car was running and served as a daily driver when I bought it, so the fuel pump is functioning but I am wondering if I should use it with my SR or upgrade to a Walbro. Also, if I do keep it should I pick up a air/fuel guage before I run the motor just to make sure that I am not running too lean? I am def. planning on getting all the necessary guages - but right now im just getting the motor installed and running. second Q pertains to the fuel cell. Since the 75 was fuel injected would my stock fuel cell be ok to run with the SR? I am also planning on upgrading to an aftermarket fuel cell eventually, but if upgrading immediately is not needed then I will put that farther down the list. jc052685
Walbro would be the wise choice. I personaly run a AFR on any motor, espcialy a boosted one that is not stock. I do understand a person on a budget can always do everything right away. I would run the AFR with the factory pump for now. The factory pump will flow more than enough for the factory injectors anyway. so....... AFR gauge.....do it Fuel pump......stock will do for now.(should do 240whp easily if its in good shape)
