mikezcar21
I have just come across a wrecked 03 G35 with the rear diff still in it. Can anyone tell me what kind of diff it is, for example, LSD? R230? or an R200? Has anyone used one of these diff's yet in a build. I did a search and nothing came up. I can't tell if the G35 was a track edition or touring edition because it is all cut up into pieces. I am also assuming that it is the same diff that the 350z's have. Please let me know any info you can. Thanks.

mikezcar21
I have already seen this list and thats why I was asking. The thread you have linked suggests the 350z and g35 coupe can come with both an open base diff or an LSD version. How can I tell by looking at the diff itself, if it is an LSD or not? You can't see by just turning the axles because even if it is an LSD, it is a VLSD and it would only turn both axles when the liquid heats up. Is there any markings on the diff that would tell me or if I opened it up would there be anything obvious telling me it is an LSD? If there is anyone else that could chime in I would greatly appreciate it.
bodie
the lsd will usually have a sticker vicous lsd or vicuos fluid only and will usually have fins cast in the cover. but you wont no any thing else without pulling the cover.
