Guest bastaad525
Just wondering... if anyones ever either modified an L engine to hook up to some other brand of 6 speed manual tranny, or if someone ever made one for the early Z's. Having 6 forward gears has always been one of the kewlest parts of a later year V8 swap, for me. But I would love even more to have a close ratio 6 speed on my already health L28
Guest Ian turbo240
I don't know for sure, but you may be able to use the 280ZXT T5 bellhousing bolted to a T56. You will certainly run into problems with the spline on the input and output shafts. The 280ZXT T5 uses the same spline as the Nissan trans. The T56 will probably be from a GM vehicle, and the splines will most certainly be different. Ian

johnc
Quaife makes a sequential 6 speed that will bolt right up with some engineering from Taylor Race Engineering in Texas.
slownrusty
SSS510 that is one SICK 510! WOW! (& clean and straight too - just the way we like them!). Congrats, looks like you have an incredible amount of time and $$ invested in that project. Yasin
