attworth
This may be a stupid question, so please forgive me. Can a 3/8" coupler be used to connect the gas tank to an AN line? If I'm not mistaken, the stock tubing is 5/16". Seems like 1/16" could be made up with some sort of spacer between the line and the fitting. Although would that be leak-proof? Or is 1/16" anything to worry about?
Matt Cramer
I'd definitely worry about 1/16" when gasoline is involved. Use the right fitting; there are adapters for this kind of thing. Either use a good quality compression fitting (not everyone seems to like these, but they've worked for me) or flare the line and use a reducer fitting to connect it to the AN line. dr_hunt
Matt is right. What I did on my monte when I was running alky and still had the stock steel tank was to weld a new suction pipe in so I could use AN fuel line from there.
