Only problem is the car dies once i put it in gear. idles just fine. now, i can't seem to find the reason why it is doing this.
roger.svoboda
need to know a little more. dies when you let the clutch out or dies when you shift into gear. anyhow sounds like a fuel pressure problem OR something electrical.
theguppies
dies when clutch is release. is this problem easy to fix?
Challenger
Do you give it gas when you let out the clutch... Really, are you able to rev it up enough to get it to start moving? But we would need a little more info. So in neutral with the clutch pressed it will idle? Or will it run in neutral regardless of what is done with the clutch? Does the car roll while in neutral. Are the brakes frozen or is the ebrake on?
ckolander
I had the same problem, a mechanic in Tulare, CA fixed it. Have no idea how much it cost cause said mechanic broke my mirror and didn't charge me for the fix.
roger.svoboda
tranny or something in the drive froze up if you let the clutch out and all that happens is the engine dies OR fuel pressure problem try a pressure gage.
theguppies
no matter how high i rev it. it will shut off on me after releasing the clutch.
FlatBlack
My AFM was set too lean and this happened to me once, couldn't hurt to check.
